S-Hook Tool Powder Coated

This S-Hook Tool makes hanging swings and other items much easier. Use to cut chain and to open and close S-hooks. 38” in length. One side has a rubber grip and the other has a flat end to place your foot for leverage. Only 1 side has a rubber grip. Features extended handles for easier crimping.

To Operate: spread plier arms apart and put swing chain at the back of the very large set of jaws. Put the arm with flat end on the ground. The flat end does not have a rubber end. Place your foot on the flat end for leverage and press plier’s arms together until the chain is cut. These pliers are designed to cut chain that is 5/16” in diameter.

To close S-hooks: put the S-hook in the front part of the large jaws and close the pliers’ arms and the S-hook will close.

To open S-hooks: use the little jaws at the other end of the pliers’ head. Put the top or outer jaw inside of the closed S-hook. Close the pliers’ arms and the S-hook should open.

Make sure any S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking.
