What are Freenotes Harmony Park Instruments?
This outdoor musical playground equipment is a collection of real pentatonic scale instruments designed for improvisational play. They encourage learning music, rhythm, and patterns in a way that allows success for every player. They can ignite a spark in a person that has interest in making music, but with assured success in a spontaneous atmosphere.
These instruments are ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE, and ENGAGING. They give all people access to music in a way they can’t get anywhere else. These instruments engage the WHOLE PERSON: the desire for language, the body's urge to move, the brain's attention to patterns, the ear's lead in initiating communication, the voice's response to sounds, as well as the eye-hand coordination associated with playing musical instruments.
"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent."
-Victor Hugo
What Do You Get?
The Deluxe Ensemble contains instruments that are perfect in a Multifamily Community park setting. This mixed quartet of Freenotes Harmony Park instruments offers a musical experience for all. This specially designed collection delivers a variety of sound qualities and pitch range. The collection includes the Swirl in Orange, Imbarimba in Yellow, Yantzee in Blue, and the Tuned Drums available in either rainbow or natural colors.
The Griffin is patterned after the Swirl, a sculpturally designed set of anodized aluminum chimes. The Griffin features 11 notes in the key of C Major that have a bright, sustaining sound in the alto/soprano register. The Griffin produces warm, rich, full tones that linger, making it similar to finger painting with sound. Sweep the mallet across the chimes and get a sound similar to a harp. It is so much fun for children and adults alike..
The Swirl is a stunning sculpturally designed set of chimes that are made of durable, resonated anodized aluminum. Its 26 notes range from soprano to alto, and it has a bright, sustaining tone. It exudes both beautiful sounds and visual art.
The Imbarimba design combines elements of two African classic instruments: the marimba (a resonated xylophone) and the kalimba (a thumb piano). The coated fiberglass bars are entirely weatherproof, withstand hard use, and deliver the sound of a wooden instrument without the maintenance. Its 22 notes range from alto to soprano, and carry and earthy percussive sound.
Also included is the Yantzee, a foundational piece for any grouping. The low notes of this outdoor musical instrument create a rich canvas of sound for other melodic instruments to play over. This anodized aluminum xylophone, with its 10 keys in the bass range, is an excellent accompaniment for all other Freenotes products.
Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, you get the Tuned Drums. These are our most popular and best selling outdoor musical instruments. Included are five green molded plastic drums in notes that range from bass to alto to soprano. They come in two heights (for children or adults), and the cap colors can be selected in either rainbow or natural. They can be installed in any arrangement, and can be played by anyone!
